Self-custodial · Solana · Screened assets

Your keys. Your assets.
Screened with care.

Mizan is a wallet for Muslims who want to hold and swap crypto within Islamic principles — with the screening method published, the fee shown before every swap, and nobody but you holding the keys.

One email when Mizan is ready. Nothing else.

How it works

A wallet, not a middleman

Mizan never holds your funds. Your keys live in a wallet that only you control, on your phone. We help you see, send, receive and swap — and we charge one fee for the swap. That is the whole business.

1

You hold the keys

Your wallet is created on your device and secured by your Apple or Google sign-in. Nobody at Mizan can move your money. Not for you, not for anyone.

2

Only screened assets

You will see a short list, on purpose. Every asset on it has passed a written, five-part screen you can read inside the app — and a screen it failed is shown as a fail.

3

Spot swaps, settled now

Every swap is an on-chain trade of one asset for another that settles immediately. No margin, no leverage, no borrowing, no interest — nothing that is not a plain swap.

4

One fee, shown every time

0.75% of what a swap returns, on its own line, before you confirm. The same for everyone. No interest on balances, no yield products, nothing hidden in the price.

Screening

Five checks, written down

We work from AAOIFI-style standards and publish the reasoning for every listed asset inside the app. An asset has to pass all five to be listed — and the fifth one we cannot do ourselves.

1

Real use, not just speculation

The asset has to do something: power a network, govern a real protocol, or stand for something real like fully backed cash. If the only reason to hold it is that someone else might pay more later, it fails here — which rules out memecoins by definition.

2

No haram business

The project itself must not be in gambling, adult content, lending at interest, alcohol or weapons. A lending protocol fails here even when it is one of the biggest names on the network.

3

Clear terms — no unresolvable ambiguity

You have to be able to tell what you own: clear supply, a product that exists, terms nobody has to guess at. Pre-launch tokens and points-farming schemes fail here.

4

Income screen

Where a token is tied to a business earning money, we check how much of that income comes from sources that are not permissible. The tolerance is under 5%.

5

Scholar review

A scholar reads the four write-ups above and signs them, or does not. This is the gate we cannot do ourselves.

Where we honestly are today. No independent scholar has yet reviewed or signed our method. The fifth check is open, and the app says so on every asset's screening card. We would rather tell you that plainly than hint at something that has not happened. When it changes, this page and the app will say so on the same day.

Mizan describes what it does and how it screens. It does not issue religious rulings. Whether any of this is right for you is a question for your own scholar.

Fees

You always see the fee before you agree to it

0.75%

Service fee on swaps

Charged on what a swap returns, as a fee for the work of doing it — an ujra. It sits on its own labelled line on the review screen, in dollars and in the asset, before you confirm.

0

Everything else

No fee to send, receive, or move your whole wallet somewhere else. No account fees. No interest earned on your balance and none charged. The network's own transaction fee is shown separately and goes to Solana, not to us.

Leaving

You can walk away at any time

From the first screen in Settings you can send every asset in your wallet — down to the last fraction of SOL — to any other Solana wallet you control, with no fee from us. That works even if swaps are paused for maintenance, because leaving must always work. If Mizan disappeared tomorrow, your assets would not: they are in your wallet, on the chain, not with us.

One thing we are straight about: the app cannot yet display your raw private key on screen. Moving everything out gets you to the same place, and the Your keys screen in the app says exactly this.
